Now the really interesting ting would be to see what Padraic thinks of it, given his recent demolition of Oz attempts at cinemagraphy paid by the Austrayia Council, er us mug taxpayers.

I always find Ms Prior’s contributions an enjoyable read. This week’s contribution is quite a departure from her normal vein. It is well researched and well written – in fact it is excellent. I could only hope that if main stream journalists could identify and report as equally as well as Ms Prior we would all be better informed about the real problems in our society.

The plight of our remote communities in a country that prides itself on social justice is appalling. The inability of these remote communities to have, which the majority of Australians take for granted, is just not acceptable.

I applaud all those working to right this wrong and I take my hat off to Ms Prior for telling us about it.

I agree this is a good discussion of an important subject. Well done, Ms Prior.

I do wonder, however, if the relevant indigenous people could be persuaded to plant some potatoes or even collect some (unprocessed) traditional food.

Isn't it true that the exercise required for these activities would be good for their general health in addition to the improved nutritional values?

MA sounds delicious, even for the food. The French money went to the American Revolution, not the Civil War, an altogether more terrible affair. If you can, see 'The Queen' with Helen Mirren. Perfect. They too came close to rocks over the Diana Event. It is indeed very dicey at the top without the calming effect of elections on a regular basis.

Aristocrats, like politicians, should be got rid of when they lose the policy plot.

Would you recommend MA to John and Janette?

'The Queen' is definitely on the agenda and hopefully with my parents. Thank you for the good head SW. I'd probably recommend Visconti's 'The Leopard' ( please see: http://www.henrythornton.com/article.asp?article_id=2433) to Mr and Mrs Howard. Retro with great sets though a bit slow. Or Alfonso Cuaron's 'Y Tu Mama Tambien' (please see:http://www.henrythornton.com/article.asp?article_id=1731) for something relatively more contemporary that is thoughtful.
Cheers
Fiona

When you are in need money frequently can address the immediate concerns. If everyone aims at doing a major shop for household supplies on Tuesday it could prove a very valuable pledge from Woolworths. The revolution can follow … FP
